Part 1 : Important Points and Elements of the Preamble

Important Points :

1.  The Preamble is called as - Summary of the Constitution
2.  USA was the first country in the world to have a Preamble. The starting of  our country's Preamble - " WE THE PEOPLE " is taken from USA.
3.  The objective resolution presented by the  Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was used for the formation of Preamble.
4. The Preamble is not viable by law.
5. Preamble is not the source of legislature.
6. As per Article 368 (Constitutional Amendment) we can make changes to the Preamble.
7. In the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act of 1972, three new words were added to the Preamble 
• Socialist 
• Secular 
• Integrity
8. Preamble shows us the philosophy of the constitution.
