    • 2 February - World Wetlands Day 
      • On 2nd February 1971 - Ramsar Convention took place at Ramsar city, Iran whose purpose was to Protection of Wetlands and understanding their impotance.
      • As of 2023, India has 75 Ramsar sites.
      • UK has the highest number of sites in the world - 175
      • India signed the Ramsar convention on
      • 2023 Theme - Its time for Wetlands Restoration 1 Feb 1982
      • Chilika lake of Odisha was the India's first Ramsar site.
    • 20 March - World Sparrow Day
    • 21 March -  World Forest Day
    • 22 March - World Water Day
    • 18 April -  World Heritage Day
      • World Heritage Sites are marked by UNESCO 
      • They promote the cultural importance of monuments and to preserve and protect the important historical landmarks around the world .
      • There are 3 types of World Heritage sites -
        1. Cultural Heritage sites - 32 sites in India
        2. Natural Heritage sites - 7 sites in India
        3. Mix Heritage sites - Only 1 in India - Kanchenjunga
