• There were total 7 members in the drafting committee.
• Chairman of the Drafting Committee - Dr. B R Ambedkar
• Founded on - 29 August 1947
• Members :
• Mohammad Sadullah
• K.M. Munshi ----- Only Congress member in the committee
• Krushnaswami Ayyer
• Gopalswami Ayyengar
• Madhav Rao ----- He replaced B.L. Mitter who resigned due to illness.
• T.T. Krushnamachari ------ He replaced D.P.Khaitan after his death.

• The drafting committee worked for 114 days.

• 2nd Draft -- Oct 1948
• 3rd Draft -- Nov 1949
